The Briarhurst Park Homeowner
Association (BPHOA) is the corporation that was created in 2002 to handle
the business involved in overseeing the Briarhurst Park community. All Briarhurst
Park homeowners are members. A board of directors, consisting of 5 members,
runs the BPHOA. The BPHOA Board meetings are generally scheduled for the first
Tuesday of each month, at 7:00 p.m. A quorum of directors must be present.
For more information contact board of directors.
Each homeowner pays a monthly assessment fee $180 due first of each month (Article IV, Section 7 of "Declaration."). They may also, of course, be paid quarterly, semi-annually, or even annually, but always in advance. The Board and SCS depend on these funds to keep things running, and we cannot be late with our payments, such as the water bill, grounds maintenance, gate maintenance, etc. Failure to pay the maintenance fees in a timely manner carries penalties as outlined in Article IV, Section 8 of the "Declaration."
Garbage pick-up days: Monday & Thursday (No pick-up on holidays)
You are reminded that, pursuant to Article X, Section 6 of the "Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions for Briarhurst Park" ("the Restrictions") "no trash cans or garbage cans shall at any time be permitted to remain on the street or where same can be seen from the street." This includes the "utility easements" between the units. The long and short of it is that trash cans should be kept in the garages, except when placed out for collection. While it may eventually come about that some kind of visual barrier will be placed by some Residents to block the view of the air conditioner compressors, etc., it still will not be allowed for trash cans to be placed in that area. To do so invites rodents, raccoons, opossums, cats, and other pests, and, in Houston's climate, is simply not a viable or healthy alternative. With regard to trash collection days, Residents are advised that trash should not be placed out for collection any earlier than 9:00 p.m. the night before scheduled collection, and trash cans, when used, should be removed no later than 9:00 p.m. following collection.
